Woohoo! Team Assignments are DONE. Feel free to buy me ALL of the beer at the happy hour!
For those who are curious, I decided to go with more, but slightly smaller teams this year. Every team (including the non-team Slackers band of misfits) has the exact same number of players. My super secret, magical, team assigning formula indicates that this should be a fun and close competition.
In addition to everyone assigned a team (and those silly slackers), I have five alternates (these were people who signed up after the fact and actually entered in valid forum ID’s*) who are (almost confirmed) ready to step up in the event that someone needs to drop out or fails to “show up”.
*There were a few more who signed up after the fact but did NOT enter valid forum ID’s and I got tired of chasing people down. 😡
Just to be clear, slackers are not a “team” but rather individuals who support the FS reindeer game without actually playing. Therefore they won’t appear on the leaderboard as a team, since that defeats the whole purpose of them not wanting to compete.

Oh yes, I just thought it was amusing that the number of slackers is the same as the number of participants on each team. Everything lined up perfectly this year, it was almost like the teams were designed by someone with OCD. 😮

Whadya chicken? Bak bak bak bak bak!
We’ll decided whether we are a team and we is a team! Go Team Slackers!
One of us has a broken rib. Another of us is going through chemo. So how the #%@#$ would it defeat whatever imaginary purpose you have concocted? Exactly??

I’m completely confused. I thought the whole reason people signed up to be slackers is because they did not want to have their “team” stats or individual stats be tracked, so they wouldn’t have to contain their uncontrollable urge to start competing. Either the slackers are competing or they are not. If not, then why would they appear on the leaderboard?
