Freezing Saddles Opening Happy Hour February 13–Please come!

I’m hoping to have as many of you as possible at the Freezing Saddles “opening” happy hour on February 13. (Yes, I know it’s been delayed far beyond the opening.) We’ve had an amazing offer from Franklin Hall. We’ll have the place all to ourselves (and it’s way bigger than we could ever need). They have both indoor and outdoor seating, so the COVID-conscious can still go. They are not charging us any rent, or imposing any food and beverage minimums; we just pay for whatever food or drink we want. (And they have quite a selection of alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages along with your basic pub food offerings.) They are letting us use their sound system, so no more straining to hear. It’s in downtown DC, easy biking distance for those of you working downtown and just half a mile from the Metro for those who prefer that (or who have nonbiking family members who would like to attend). So in addition to the usual reasons for going–getting to meet your teammates and fellow cyclists–I’d really like to see this be enough of a success that Franklin Hall will be willing to do it again.
