ParticipantWell darn. I got a cold and it got worse overnight and I’m gonna stay home. You all have fun. It’s been a great first FS! Have a toast for me.

My right knee is telling me not to go. My stomach is telling me to drop an ibuprofen and suck it up.

ParticipantSteve and everyone in the BAFS community, enjoy the party!
My post Vasa ride nap took too long and unfortunately can’t make it. ðŸ˜@Steve O 156591 wrote:
Believe it or not, the end of Freezing Saddles 2017 is just 11 days away. And that means you should start napping, so that you can feel well rested for the traditional Freezing Saddles Last Night Hains Point Party (FSLNHPP).
It’s a social ride, not a race (unless you are nip and tuck with another team, in which case you may be trying to rack up some last-second miles). At 11:50 or so we will all gather at the point, stop our GPS devices one last time, and share a toast to winter and another season of Freezing Saddles.VOLUNTEERS NEEDED – If you have a friend or SO or nutcase acquaintance who is not a FS participant and wants to make the FSLNHPP even more elite, they can attempt to emulate the amazing Sarah Bee. For FSLNHPP 2015, she brought her car and provided riders with snacks, drinks, music and big-time cheering. Last year, too, some teams brought support vehicles. This is the location we’ll use as the social gathering spot and for the final toast.

I will bring a toasting beverage. Feel free to contribute in any way to the festivities: costumes, props, disco lights, music, bike foxes, dancing girls, etc.
When does the FSLNHPP start?
There is no official start time; only an official end time. You are welcome to start any time you like. In past years the bulk of riders tended to arrive between 8-10 pm.March 20, 2017 at 4:58 am #1068386Birru
ParticipantCheers to everyone who came out! I really enjoyed my time tonight. Even though I wasn’t a BAFS17 participant it’s been great meeting the fine folks of this community. I want to share my appreciation for the warm welcome as well.

Looking forward to competing with you next year. Thanks for the awesome pizza last night and the pie.

ParticipantThanks for a great FSLSHPP and BAFS! Last night was a hoot, and I got to meet two teammates for the first time, enjoy a fortifying porter-flavored root beer (because, after all, beer is not allowed at HP), a life-changing cupcake, and quite a few laughs with my fellow nut-cases. I could not make it until midnight, but rolled into my driveway at about 11:57 just in time to stop the Garmin and have all the miles count. Thank again to all.
