Still ironing out all the details. Date/time TBD but most likely next week or weekend. Will keep everyone posted. Venue will be Conte’s Falls Church, 1118 West Broad Street. Conte’s staff will be checking vaccination status, i.e., you need to be vaccinated! There will be light beverages (probably water and juices) and snacks at the store. If you want something more “substantial” or other beverage options (including adult beverages), Taco Rock is right next door. There are also other food options, e.g., Jersey Mike’s, in the shopping center. You’re welcome to bring food/drinks into the store. There’s no seating in the store, but there’s outdoor seating in front and at Taco Rock.

We will be announcing Pointless Prize winners. Actual handing out of prizes will depend on whether both the prize sponsor and winner are there. If not, they’ll have to get in touch with each other and make suitable arrangements.

We are also planning to do a Zoom broadcast for those who can’t be there in person.

I had thought that a convoy hauling the PA gear would be kind of cool, but trying to get everything back home with people leaving at different times in different directions is too complicated – plus would be subject to weather conditions.

UPDATE ON RESTON/VIENNA CONVOY — Not sure if anyone was planning on joining us but I am changing the START to Vienna. We will leave Vienna at 5 pm. We will be flying with a tail wind on our way to Contes but fighting a pretty good head wind on the way back to Vienna.

Thanks Conte’s for hosting last night and to the organizers — it was lots of fun.

Nice photo of team 16. Biggest congrat’s to all of you and to the winner in the individual category, Chris Watson, who not only racked up an amazing number of points but was the envy of many of us for her ride locations. Was great to see Scott Binde up and about last night. Speedy recovery Scott!
