The streets in my neighborhood aren’t plowed so I can’t even sneak in a sleaze ride…maybe I could ride loops in my basement.

Yes!!! Please do this! I’d love to see how the route would look on Strava. You should also make it a segment. You’ll be the KOM no matter how fast you go and then we, and other random cyclists, can come to your house and ride the segment in your basement too. If you let us in…

    I’ll bring beer.

My sleaze yesterday was me attempting to commute, wiping out and later seeing that my bike light chipped my top tube when the bars spun around (i’m displeased). My neighborhood has also not been plowed (and at this point a plow would do nothing). I’m not sure where I’m going to be able to get a sleaze ride in…. at this point i’m debating riding around in circles in the Vienna Metro Parking deck. Its only a few minute walk from the house, but I will get some really really odd looks.

It feels like I’m iced into some horrid anti-bike universe. Although that probably describes Fairfax for most people all year.

Perhaps the parking lot at the corner of Blake and Lee… Must get my 1.1 in……..

Before I moved up here (and had a house with a basement), we had a tiny bike* crit in my basement. It was awesome.

Actually, my wife has turned the basement into an art studio so it’s not really ride capable. That said, I’m still willing to drink your beer.

Seeing this makes me long for the cold, boring days working in a bike shop in February – silly-season turns every bike shop into a circus when there aren’t any customers around. I distinctly remember hooking up two Adams trail-a-bikes and a Burly trailer to a tandem, then trying to navigate a “trials” course through the shop. TOE DABS = +10 POINTS!!!!

That’s because yesterday (Sunday) goes for last week’s numbers, and today (Monday) begins with a clean slate. There’s a tab where you can look at last week’s results.

    Thanks, Vern, that explains it!

Stop by our offices. You have to take extras to Happy Hour…

Also, Fluttershy is the preferred MLP at the BikeArlington Intergalactic Headquarters.

Found this in our house yesterday. Had to look at its butt to see what the name was. lo and behold:

    ALL,

I’m okay, but my shoulder is not. Doc says I need an operation. My spirits are fine with one regretful exception: I must withdraw from BAFS15, and willingly offer my place to a worthy waitlister.

Best of luck to everyone…especially those superb riders who I was hoping to challenge, but who know’s I may be riding again before spring!

Dave, i’m so sorry to hear about your shoulder! I hope it isn’t hurting too much. Is there anything we can do to help you or keep your spirits up? Please know that you’re invited to everything regardless.

Dave, that is a bummer. I hope that you can stop by at HDCC or FCC#2 once in a while to catch up.
