I’m just absolutely gutted by this. I was meaning to run by there… just another trip for a couple of meaningless items, but you realize how many times you’ve done that and how many times they’ve saved your ass at the last minute… ugh. Thank goodness no one was seriously hurt or killed.
Damn…spent so much time here when I lived on the Hill. However, I remember the upstairs as being a total mess, so it did kinda seem like a fire hazard. Hopefully the rebuild quickly!
It looked like on the news that the fire was pretty intense, but then again, with all of the paint thinnner, and other flammable stuff in a hard ware store it was a miracle that no one was hurt.
Frager’s is one of the few useful and helpful stores in the area, of any type. It will be missed. At least we suburbanites still have Fischer’s in Springfield.
