Can also get around the area by detouring on the grass. Quick ‘cross intro, really. I think they are beefing up some areas adjacent to the curb, so I doubt the path will be affected.

Not fun this morning. First was the landscaper watering plants in the area between the street and the trail leaving lots of hose blocking one lane of the trail at 7:35, then 50 yards later was the Bobcat at the “ramp” site blocking two thirds of the trail and yellow tape running from the bridge railing out to the trail, cutting off the grass detour option. No one was in the Bobcat and one of the workers was just sitting on the side of the trail. It’s also not very clear just what they are doing there since there is now an elevated concrete pad, not a ramp there. Maybe a bus shelter now?

Maybe it will be a bus shelter. I couldn’t figure out what they planned with that elevation change. The riding on the grass option wasn’t available last night either.

The sidewalk along East Basin Drive has also been completely blocked off in the mornings, but last night was passable once you got past the sign that said it wasn’t. (?!).

On the more positive side, had a nice visit with Dave K for a few minutes on the ride in this morning. What a gorgeous day for riding!

Indeed, it was another great morning to be out on a bike. I think tomorrow morning I’ll use the bike lane on Arlington Mill and then take the lane since I plan to stop at Best Buns for my second breakfast supplies.
