The city engineer for Laurel posts sometimes at washcycle.com. Some helpful infrastructure improvements in parts of that area. I’ve trying to get our town to get more active by using Laurel as an example. As in, if they can do it, why can’t we?
Did you notice that they finally put the permanent lane stripes on 201 between Powder Mill Road and Greenbelt? So the shoulder lanes are back to being properly marked. (The temporary stripes they had on their squiggled all over the place, and essentially eliminated the shoulder in spots.)
You’re just a young squirt if you don’t have your AARP card yet ( although it doesn’t seem to be good for much in the way of bike related discounts LOL ). I suppose the real value of biking is that it tends to make one look not so much like they hold an AARP card.
Don, welcome to the forum. I used to live in Columbia, MD and took the MARC train daily. Sadly, the MARC train doesn’t allow the regular bike on the train, only folded bike. There are plenty of room on the train at each end to have mount hooks for bikes.
Here is a picture of designated area for hanging bike on the Portland Light Rail.
