Boring. I think I’ll change it. I’ve always been partial to the nickname I was given by some greek coworkers years ago; Amalitza (spelling questionable), the nickname/diminutive for Amalia, the first Greek queen, and their Greekified version of my real name (Amy). So, with some liberal interpretation of meaning:), “little queen” or maybe “dear/darling queen”.

acl, you are our reigning queen. Last year acl was crowned Queen of Freezing Saddles as the female rider with the highest mileage of the competition. Long live the queen! ;)

p.s. I think the queen is slacking this year.

That’s going to be a bit confusing. Do you mind if we just call you Bruce?

My middle name is Mark. I grew up on quiet Webster Avenue in Brooklyn. In the 1970s some of our evenings at home were dominated by Masterpiece Theater series on PBS about Tudor England (The Six Wives of Henry the VIIIth, Elizabeth R) in which every other characters was Earl of This, Lord of That. Also about this time I was reading the Lord of the Rings for the first time, and telling my parents all about it. My father, who was funny and quirky, decided to give me an aristocratic title/nickname – I am not sure which of us came up with Lord of the Mark of Webster.

I used Lord of the Mark as a handle on a gaming forum, where it perhaps was a little less eye catching than on a biking forum.

And here I thought it was because you had some connection to stage acting.

Guy Continental = my “porn name” (in 1992 kid parlance, at least in Arizona, your porn name was your middle name + the street you grew up on)

Ha. Griffith Marshall doesn’t have that porn star ring like yours does. Sounds more like someone who spends a lot of time on a yacht.

You’d think mine is obvious until you realize it’s an acronym.
Also, I shortened my real name, Steve Oh, to Steve O for simplicity.

Arent you in a hammock in Mexico somewhere, drinking a beer, 1000 miles away from the Internet?

At first, I used to think your username meant you worked/lived at the Mark Center with the aristocratic title added for fun!

I thought of the scene from Star Trek III: The Search for Spock. All the Vulcans are introducing themselves with fancy terms and “son of …” So Dr. McCoy introduces himself as “McCoy, Leonard, son of David.”

Jabberwocky is a famous nonsense poem by Lewis Carroll.

My avatar is a piece of the John Tenniel illustration the accompanied the poem.
