It’s still unclear whether the market is looking for an ebike that’s more of a bike, or more of a lightweight scooter. If it’s the latter, the pedals are practically vestigial.

Judging from the article and photos, it’s more bike. It’s very high-tech and smart-phony and all that. And it says it will fold, which is a first for an e-bike, I presume. Probably heavy though.

One of my Bobs has a folding ebike.

Hmmm. What brand? I wonder if it’s heavy to haul around when folded.

I wonder if the folding e-bike comes with its own e-assist hand truck.

I wonder if any of the design will end up on other bikes?

I think these two would be fairly easy and useful to incorporate into current ebike/bike design, particularly the integrated lights.

“A function known as “no sweat mode” tunes into the rider’s heart-rate in order to apply just enough electric pedal assistance to keep him or her from breaking a sweat.

Specially designed LEDs are integrated into the design to maintain visibility, without the need for after-market accessories.”
