For Sale: Trek 1500 SLR Road Bike

56cm Trek 1500 SLR, aluminum frame, road racing bike for sale. I rode this bike for about 6 months, but I’ve since inherited and fixed up a touring bike that’s won me over, and I find I no longer ride this. It’s pretty light and turns on a dime, with great acceleration and responsiveness. I installed an adjustable stem, but still have the original if you want. Paddle shifters, paired spoke wheels. Bontrager Race Lite tire on the rear wheel, regular Bontrager road tire (T1?) on front. Shimano Ultegra crank and derailleur. I’ll send along the original pedals too. Handlebars re-wrapped last August. Here’s the manufacturer’s picture and specs.

I’d rather sell to someone local for good bike karma. I’m not trying to make a profit here, just trying to recoup some of my costs to put towards my next bike! I bought this a year ago as a sale/donation to Bikes for the World at Eastern Market for $700+, I’m looking for $400 now, or best offer. If you can come to Capitol Hill, you’re welcome to take a test ride.
