Shimano RS81 C35 wheel set. Alloy braking surface with carbon fairing, so kind of the “best of both worlds.” Hubs are considered Ultegra-level. Front is 16 spokes radial. Rear is 21 spokes, 14 crossed 2 on the drive side and radial on the non-drive side. All the spokes are bladed and straight pull. 35mm rim depth, but not a true aero go-fast rim by modern rim standards. ~1600-1700 grams, so not light but also not heavy. More of an “all arounder” wheel set. Tubeless ready with tubeless rim strip tape already installed.
Used for ~3-1/2 seasons (just riding) but in very good condition. Never crashed. Rims are true and round. Hubs torn down and re-packed with Phil Wood grease at the end of each season. NOTE: These are cup-and-cone hubs that use regular ball bearings, not cartridge bearings, so very easy to service (especially with Shimano’s digital click pre-load bearing adjustment).
MSRP new was ~$1200. You can still find these new on the web for ~$700, e.g., https://www.probikekit.com/bicycle-wheels/shimano-ultegra-rs81-c35-clincher-wheelset/10791377.html Asking $300 or make me an offer I can’t refuse. Cash and carry in Arlington. I prefer not to ship, but can and buyer has to pay cost of shipping.
