Not sure if you all are aware, but flooding has closed down part of Route 1 in northern Alexandria. Just a little south of Potomac Yard.

Not that route 1 is a big bike route, but if that’s closed, then there are likely other closures and areas with localized flooding. Just something to keep an eye out for on your ride home.

    Sweet!
That seals it—definitely riding along 4 Mile Run on the way home! May as well have fun with the old wheels, cx tires, and bottom bracket before swapping them out.

anyone been through here? I was hopefully going to ride through old town on my way home between the beltway and 4MR. Was there flooding? Is the trail still detoured?

I rode 4 mile run yesterday morning and there wasn’t anything worth mentioning. The creeks and streams all the way out to Carolina Brothers were noticeably high though. We drove down Route 1 last night where it had been closed and it was fine. I bet it wasn’t anything more than a couple of blocked sewer drains or something. It wasn’t the usual Alexandria coastal flooding.
