As you all know, the National Bike Summit is quickly approaching and there are a lot of discussion topics planned for the 3 day event!

One exciting discussion that will be taking place is a conversation that’s not new here on the forum, in fact we have had great participation about it from all you wonderful people – How do we get more women cycling? This year, the Alliance for Biking & Walking and the Association of Pedestrian and Bicycle Professionals will be hosting the FIRST EVER National Women Cycling Forum!

So I ask that if any of you plan on attending the summit, try and squeeze in some time to also attend this important discussion. There is already a great lineup of speakers who will be presenting at the forum – Author of “Wheels of Change: How Women Rode the Bicycle to Freedom (With a Few Flats Tires Along the Way)” Sue Macy will be the Keynote speaker for this inaugural event. Check out the lineup here!

It will take place on March 20, 2012 from 2-4 p.m. at the Grand Hyatt in Washington, DC. Mark your calendars (and RSVP on Facebook!)

I hope to see you all there! :)
