I believe the proper forum name for that spot is the “Rossly Circle O’ Death”

If you haven’t stared down the drivers making the right on red off I-66 onto Key Bridge while you’re in the crosswalk crossing Lynn heading south on the Custis / MVt you haven’t commuted in Arlington. Circle of Doom, indeed.

Try an alternate: come down Clarendon, left onto Lynn in central Rosslyn, then go with the Lynn Street traffic.

Or the alternate alternate: cross on the West side of the Key, and then wait at the light to turn right onto M.

I’m trying to get onto the MVT from there most of the time – but when I do need to get into DC I take the sidewalk on the north side of the bridge.

I really just wanted this thread to be about logging parts of our commutes where we frequently have run-ins with cars – and possibly used ffod :) !

On almost a daily basis I have to resist the urge to hand out some FFODs to parents who park in the bike lane on Washington Blvd to drop off their kids at Swanson Middle School. Washington Blvd gets pretty busy in the morning, so having to leave the bike lane and get in the traffic lane is an iffy proposition. And I know that every kid has unique needs, but Swanson isn’t exactly in the middle of nowhere or dangerous to get to…your kid can walk.

My biggest one is coming down Fairfax thru VA Square when all the Reston Limo shuttles in front of the FDIC buildings park half way out into the bike lane and force me to take the lane during rush hour. Every day.
