Fenders, give me your opinions

I am about to buy a new set of full coverage permanent mount fenders for my 700c touring bike. I have used SKS and Planet Bike fenders in the past. I am probably going to get Planet Bike Cascadia ALX fenders. I have often broken normal plastic and metal/plastic fenders in the past, so I am crushing on these full Al fenders.

I thought about trying the Portland Bike Works full metal fenders, but wow $120! Anyone have experience with VeloOrange fenders?

My preferred fender. Mostly just to troll at this point. No quick release would terrify me… dry(ish) feet are not worth that possibility…..

In addition to the Full Metals I just got this as well, a Zefal Defender 29. I consider this a huge improvement over the fender you showed. This one will not move around and being closer to the tire is a vast improvement. Regardless, neither can compare to full fenders. Full fender just don’t block the spray, but totally change has the water “flows” around the bike. You really cannot understand until you use them yourself.

So I have the pdw full city fenders mounted on my Indy Fab and…. I am about to take them off. The toe overlap on this bike is just too much. This fenders will be great on my salsa colossal that has no overlap.
