Not as good as pants for my arms.

Looks too baggy at the cuff to be good on a bike without a chain guard, so a lot of cyclists wouldn’t be able to use it.

I’ve been told I’m a hat for the ass, anybody is interested in that kind of product?

Velcro straps for the ankles/calves would be good, otherwise they’re just baggy rain pants. The little booty things could be good except they need to cover the whole shoe, not just the toe, to be effective.
The fold-into-a-bag thing is nice, but not enough to convert me from my current rain pants with rubber bands method.

I agree. Some sort of strap or bungee cord to tighten the pant at the cuff could be a good solution as long as nothing was sticking out that could get caught in the chain (personal experience that taught me to always wear an anklet over long pants while riding). It would make it much more accessible to cyclists.

Those are rain pants. They’ve been around for years. Giving them a new (stupid) name doesn’t make them a new product.

They are rain pants with zippers on the sides of the legs so you don’t have to step into them. Pretty cool, as long as the zippers hold up, and as long as the velcro waist thing works well enough to keep them up while you’re zipping.

I don’t think I’d ever use them. If it’s cold and wet, I’ll wear water-resistant cycling pants. If it’s warm and wet I’ll wear regular cycling shorts.

The biggest problem with water resistant shells is making them breathable so you don’t get soaked with your own trapped sweat. These things are just another layer to trap moisture.

The side zipper thing is a decent enough idea, but I’ve never had a problem getting my current rain pants on over my bike shoes. Maybe if they had bike-related features, like a reinforced crotch and–as others have pointed out–cuff straps, I’d consider them if I was looking for a new pair…but without those features, I’d stick with a brand like Showers Pass.

My rain cape keeps my legs dry. I have a good pair of rain pants but haven’t worn them in over a year.

So I think the consensus here is that these are jackets for legs that will catch in your chain and kill you.

This my second least favorite kind of spam.

Could be useful for some people, I suppose, and times being what they are. I just let my legs get wet. They’ve always dried off before and I assume they will continue to do so in the future.

I don’t understand why these pants don’t come in a rainbow of high-visibility colors so that motorists will notice the wearer. The strips on the leg bottoms look like they are lit with LEDs, meaning a power source is needed, instead of reflective tape. I’m neutral on that point. Pants will be hard to get on in bad weather conditions. I don’t see enough here to really get excited about.

Thanks! ;) We’ll keep this in mind.

Well, they have something like this already if you’re interested.

Sir, we disagree with you on this one. Most people are unaware that such products exist. We tried last year with the name Rain Pants and no one was interested. This name (to some extent) gives you the idea of zippers. :p

They are breathable. Read the final line in this post – you’ll find a link to our campaign that contains the full description.

Well, that is not the point of it, but if people demand this – sure! We can make a version that will catch in your chain and kill you. This way you can give it as a gift to all your enemies. [insert evil laugh here] HAHAHA!

All in all, guys, thanks for your feedback (and for trolling us) but we are preparing to launch our Kickstarter campaign soon and we would really appreciate if you could take a look first.

Here’s the link https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/vear/1326349502?token=f9aa425b – it’s not live yet, just for feedback purposes.

What do you think? Is all clear there? Did we make any mistakes? What can be improved? ;)
