FastFriendlyGuy came up with a really neat way to mount blinkies under your saddle that I thought I’d share.

It’s such a clean way to mount blinkies to your rear end!

It seems like quite a few saddles have horizontal slots near the back probably intended for mounting saddle bag straps – but they can fit the little plastic foot of a blinkie light pretty well too. The problem is adding enough tension to the light’s body so that it doesn’t fall out from this unintended position. FFG does this by stretching the blinkie’s loops straight back crossing under the saddle and running his saddle bag’s straps through the tightened loop. It has the benefit of catching the blinkie if it falls out too.
I found that wrapping the blinkie’s loops around my particular saddle’s rails and back around the main body is enough to hold the foot in place.
