Was our favorite cop really celebrating BTWD by handing out stop sign tickets at the crosswalk of a low speed, low volume street which was closed for the Bikenetic BTWD station? I’d like to hope that I just misread that interaction.

A couple of month ago on a nearly deserted WOD, I saw a uniformed bicycle officer slow to about 5 mph, execute a stop signal with military precision, and did a foot down stop with no visible traffic. I was about one half of a block back on the WOD trying to contain my laughter. I just didn’t have the gonads to suggest that the signal was ridiculous since there was no one there to see it and, of course, as a policeman I knew he would stop at the stop sign anyways. Perhaps that was to the best as I have yet to see the insides of the Falls Church clinck.

Who was the friendly cyclist who gave me the warning that police were at the fairfax BTWD stop?
The cone slalom course they put on the trail/street right there *was* tempting, though.
