So who’s got the secret to waterproofing road rash when bathing?
Depends on how severe it is. If I’ve got time and it isn’t too severe, I shower and clean it up. If I really need it to be dry… for medical reasons or because I don’t have the luxury of letting it stop oozing, I’ve done some pretty good things with plastic kitchen wrap. For a quick shower, it usually works pretty well. Lube up with first aid ointment, then wrap up with saran wrap. Lets me get out, unwrap, reapply ointment and bandage without having to ooze.
I tried that with an entire road-rashed buttock and thigh. It was marginally successful, but extremely entertaining none-the-less.
