Not that being hit by a tornado on the way home is super likely, but for those of you that weren’t raised in the midwest with “what to do in case of a tornado “ drilled into you from before you can remember, if you are caught out in the open with a tornado approaching and no basement to hide in, finding a ditch or other low spot and lying flat in it is the recommended approach. Taking shelter under a tree, not so much. (this applies to people in cars too– get out of your car and lie in the ditch)

And underneath an overpass is considered to be, in general, a very bad location. A lot of folks think it would be good, but basically a vaccum effect can take place. Be safe and have bailout points planned along the way if you need them!

Clear all the way home and same this morning….glad I just knocked it out, amazing how alarmist the weather personalities are here (even after 10 years of listening to them)….
