Eye Street SW bike lanes

The repaving is well underway. That means that on several blocks the eastbound bike lane has essentially disappeared (as the road surface it was painted on has been removed.) There is still an area to the right of the main travel lane to ride in, but its quite rough, and in this AMs weather there were some huge puddles. I was too busy looking where I was going to check the status of the west bound lanes.

I think I may consider the P street alternative.

I can’t wait until the repaving is done (except that then someone is likely to take my KOM heading west).

It was just as bad westbound. It’s basically the stretch between 3rd St SW and South Cap.

The poor condition of the road is the only reason I have the KOM. If it was a nice smooth road, then someone faster than me would have ridden it by now.
