Eye Street SE, EB closed at Half Street

There are now construction related slowdowns and temporary stoppages on BOTH parallels – L Street SE, and K Street SE, between Half Street and NJ Avenue.

Best alternative is Maine to trail to the Titanic Memorial, to P Street, to 2nd SW, to R Street, to Potomac Avenue, then up around the ballpark.

EB Eye Street SE is now reopened between S. Cap and NJ Avenue, including the bike lane (though there were cones being put out at the corner with First Street SE, but I think that is something more temporary – like one day at most?)

I have been informed that starting tomorrow Eye Street SE will again be closed, EB, from Half to First Street.

Good news is that the Audi Field route (the alternative from the Wharf to the Yards) is better than before, with a new PBL on P Street SW now in place.

To note though – the in road take the lane portion of this route, on Maine past the construction of the Wharf Phase 2, which used to be okay because with two EB lanes most traffic would pass you in the left lane – is now more of a pain point, because with construction Maine EB is now one lane for a short but nasty stretch – you will either be delayed by cars (nbd), or have them on your tail.

And EB Eye Street from Half to First street SE is now open again!
