ParticipantHey, the clouds have moved on so I’m feeling more sunny than I was a lunch time. Now for a nice ride home!

I know this has been a complete [expletive deleted] week for me, which is saying something since it’s only Tuesday. Seems like a lot of us are having similar weeks.
We should definitely all go for a bike ride.
Yes, followed by a beer or two and some German food–a reminder for Biketoberfest this Friday after work in my backyard — all are welcome, including kids. Cycling and beer heal all wounds. (Except maybe road rash, which cycling and beer tends to create more of.) Hope to see you all there.

I haven’t had a chance to ride it since Sunday. Mondays and Tuesdays and Fridays are my days to drop off and pick up the kids, so I’ve been on the Xtracycle. I’m tentatively planning to ride it to work tomorrow.

ParticipantWell, you can make the best of the situation and do a conversion of the Xtracycle.

Looks like I have an unavoidable commitment from 6:30 to 7:30 or so on friday evening – but fortunately its in north Alexandria. Okay to come by after by car around 8ish, with spouse along?

Of course. You will be taunted for taking a car though (not really – you won’t be the only one, we’ve invited a few non-cycling friends too).

ParticipantFriday is one of maybe 3 nights a year I have to work late. Although if we get out early I might come by.
And a fixed Xtracycle sounds like what they use for bikeshare in Hell.

My first job back when I was 16 was at a Subway “restaurant”. The day manager, on his way out, would always warn us on full moon days that it was going to be a weird night. He was always right. The moon does make people crazy.

ParticipantBaiskeli, thanks for hosting Biketoberfest. Would you mind posting some info about it under the Events thread as well? I had been looking for it there and couldn’t find anything. Others might be doing the same. Thanks!

Subway isn’t the only place that has the same idea. Bunk as it may be, it has a traditional following in many ERs.
