Thanks very much for the heads-up. Glad it turned out as well as it did.

Not even the scent of fresh blood on the pavement will dissuade me from taking this alternative to the corridor of carnage that is the Custis Trail.

BTW, the asphalt has hardened nicely but it is mighty bumpy down Wilson.

They just wanted to make you feel like you were riding in the Giro d’Italia on the famed “Strade Bianche.”

All joking aside, glad it was not more serious.

    “Corridor of carnage” — ?

Glad you survived to type about it.

Reason #177 why I call out “We’re all gonna die” as I ride through any major intersection in Rosslyn. Someday I’m gonna be right and some sick person will get a laugh about it.

But seriously… Thanks for the heads-up. Very happy that the helmet worked.

    Ride on!

Gosh, glad you are not seriously injured. Very glad you did not wind up doing an undercarriage inspection of the car that was behind you. And particularly happy that the computer was safe- in reality I never even cared about the electronics. Again, very relieved you will live to ride again.

    Best wishes,
    Ann
