Ooooh nice, Karen. Easy pace means I can bring a backpack full or even ride the steel bike with full panniers. (Maybe…. How much of the ride is before the LFL vs after it?)

So nice of you to start the ride in my hood [emoji3] We have a box of books I’ve been meaning to donate.

I’m planning to come – in case that wasn’t obvious [emoji38]

Join me Sunday 2/27 for a leisurely ride to replenish a totally empty LFL in Alexandria that Serdar posted about on 1/12/2022. Kelley Westenhoff (Kbikeva) who’s sponsoring this game will give extra points to anyone who participates in the ride and donates one or more books!

Start from Bluemont Park on N Manchester St just off Wilson Blvd in Arlington where there is ample parking, as well as public restrooms. The route winds through suburban neighborhoods, a few commercial areas, and along paved trails.

Nadine, I am happy to bring a backpack to the starting point and help you with half of your load.

If this ride is well attended, it seems possible there may be many more books than space in the LFL. Riders should be prepared to take extras back home with them.

Or, disperse those books in the nearby LFLs.

REMINDER FROM KELLEY: “Just to be clear – I will award extra points if you comply with the other requirements — i.e., ONE photo of your bike with the book you’re donating and the LFL. If it’s a really great book, you might get MORE points. The photo needs to be posted in the forum under the LFL Thread. If you have several great photos, put them in your strava post!

Looking forward to a fun ride this Sunday! In case anyone needs it, my cell is 571-205-5797.
