I have a friend who lives in Boulder, who every year sets up a supported downhill century. One of these days I’m gonna make it out there. Sadly its not this year.

Could it be done in the D.C. area? Or how close could you get?

That ride loses 6000′ of elevation. Mt. Rogers in Virginia is 5,729′, but I don’t see a nice gradual road to sea level.
