Seems like you’ve figured it out already. 11th and 14th are the ways to go.

Lots of good eats in that hood, too. I like El Chucho’s happy hour (all night) on Mondays — half price food, and it’s very good! The Union Drinkery and Small Fry on Georgia are also worth checking out.

Meridian Pint (11th and Park) is my favorite bar/restaurant in the whole city.

If you head north a bit on 14th, left on Upshur, then down the gigantic hill you’re basically on Beach Drive if you’re looking to go for a weekend ride.

Currently, you can’t get to Beach Drive via Upshur. This phase of the road construction has closed Blagden Avenue between Mathewson Drive and Beach Drive
