Do you REALLY have eight members on your team?

In several cases, people seem to think that their team has eight members, when that is not the case. Please check https://freezingsaddles.org/leaderboard/team_text. If there are not eight members showing there, then someone’s miles are not being counted. Possible reasons are:

1. The person did not join the team’s Strava club.

3. The person did not go to https://freezingsaddles.org/authorize and authorize Freezing Saddles to read their miles. (Even if they think they did this, if they have done 1 and 2, they should try again.)
4. The person has private rides, and did not select the second option at https://freezingsaddles.org/authorize, which allows Freezing Saddles to read private miles. (Again, even if they think they have done it, they should try again.)

Until the person has successfully made it onto the leaderboard at https://freezingsaddles.org/leaderboard/team_text, their miles are not counting for your team. And if you don’t get this fixed quickly, chuxtr may not have anyone on the wait list to replace the missing players. So team captains (or indeed, any team member), please check this right away.

The last I checked our team captain 👩*✈️ is MIA. I think we’re team 20, Eastside River Riders. Also, I’m not sure if all our members are actually members because I’m seeing them on Strava where someone could sneak onto a club (I’m still having problems with my phone and this site and I think Henry tired of my questions – still can’t find Pointless for instance). Maybe our AWOL captain has already been found?!

Your team captain was found and is on the leaderboard. She was the one who set up the Strava club.

There are eight members showing up on the Freezing Saddles leaderboard. To be there, they have to be members of the Strava club and also have authorized Freezing Saddles to read their miles. So while two extra members sneaked onto the team, they are not appearing on the leaderboard because they did not authorize Freezing Saddles to read their miles.

That being said, the team captain should be closing the membership of the club and kicking off the extra members.

I think their issue now is that she’s non-communicative and hasn’t ridden since Jan 1.

The team captain is Ashby, a/k/a Marie Josephine. She set up the Strava club, so she’s not totally MIA. However, she has ridden only once (on January 1).

Maybe she wasn’t totally MIA when she set up the club, but she is, in fact, totally MIA now. Hopefully everything’s good with her, but she’s left us in a bad spot with respect to competitiveness and also with team admin stuff (non-members need to be booted and the team page set to private).

If she is just riding every day and waiting to upload her rides, then that would be completely awesome and please ignore everything I wrote.
