Did it actually sync anything today? Looks like syncing stopped after day 2… But, hey, I’m just glad it’s out there to force me to make good choices about riding bicycles even in bad weather.

Well, there are four people who are showing as green on the “Ride Days” chart, so presumably it synced at least them. But it does seem to be several hours behind. My ride to work this morning is still not showing.

On the good news front, my “thumbscrew” is still showing as one of the recent photos. Honestly, that was a harmless piece of hardware to keep my headlight on. But if someone thinks it represents what will happen to them if they fail their team in Freezing Saddles, who am I to argue?

My am ride not showing up ether. Don’t seem to recall Stava being at all laggy in past years.

In other news. Major Tom is back again this year on the dist/elev/ave speed chart. Can we ask Eric B to do something about his elevation error issue?

Needs to do an elevation correction. How does it resync?

My ride today did not sync yet either. Sounds like a job for HOZN…

Everybody dry for the ride home?

Looks like a Strava problem, not a hozn problem. The rides are not showing up on the Freezing Saddles club, which is where hozn’s site gets its data.

My ride yesterday got counted on the Freezing Saddles site (after a short reasonable delay, which I suspect is just a timed sync).

But it took half a day to show up in the Strava FS group. It’s definitely a Strava problem, but it didn’t seem to affect hozn’s site.

My lunchtime ride from today is showing up on the Strava FS2017 club, but not on the freezing saddles site – the Strava club seems to be running about an hour behind, the FS site must be over 7 hours behind, since only a couple of people have 3 days logged. Unless I am misreading something.

I had this happen, too, and was wondering if it was me. My ride from this AM still hasn’t shown up by my name on the site – ended around 830 – and I’m not on the FS board….

Strava has been a bit wonky for me lately so i wouldn’t be shocked if it’s an issue with the data feed.

The People pull down also includes some folks from last year that aren’t playing this year.

    (I’ll check for errors later.)

I think Strava is having issues today. My profile was all wonky this morning, and whatever issues caused that are probably also causing rides not to be synched. It should fix itself soon.

The Freezing Saddles site is pulling from the Freezing Saddles Strava club. There are 301 people who joined the Freezing Saddles Strava club, but only 263 who registered for Freezing Saddles. So put this down to lack of reading comprehension on the part of some who signed up for the Freezing Saddles Strava club, not a problem with the software.

This will all get resolved once we have actual teams. At that point, the Freezing Saddles site will pull from the team Strava clubs, not the overall Freezing Saddles Strava club. And a team captain isn’t going to let people sign up for the team club unless the person is actually assigned to the team.

Yes, Strava seems to be lagged. My profile didn’t acknowledge that I had ridden any miles today or yesterday until later today – even though the rides were all there. Glad it’s not just my phone.

Strava has been running incredibly odd the last few days.

There is definitely a freezing saddles software issue. I have been ignoring emails all day. Apparently the (MySQL) database crashed and one of the tables needs to be repaired. It is unfortunate having to use such a horrible database :-)

Anyway, I will get that fixed tonight.
