Boo, weekend of the Jeremiah bishop Alpine Loop Gran Fondo. Maybe at the spring one?
They had spring and fall events the first year. But going forward, I think there will just be the event in the fall.

It’s the day before. How much recovery time do you need?
Not recovery time, just a nice relaxing Saturday warm up in the hills of cville and a much shorter drive over the mountains to JMU

First person to snap a picture of this Diamond Derby advertisement on the metro/WMATA buses gets a BikeArlington water bottle!

I am sure this has already been answered, but since I almost never ride the metro, here is my first sighting.

But your photo is much better … And looks like it might have been taken from a bike

ParticipantThanks but it’s out of focus. I am pleased that I managed to get a rider in the picture.

ParticipantI’m not sure I’ll be able to make it. While I don’t have a costume, I did manage to find a nifty bike accessory.
I thought about trying the new Goldsprints competition (even though I wouldn’t win). But as of now, I may not even be able to watch any of the Diamond Derby.

Sorry, Bilsko broke his hip and had to sit this one out. Bring your cowbells and vuvuzellas to cheer.

Oh no! Biking accident? Ouch. I’ll be coming over to cheer once my WABA confident cycling class is over.

ParticipantWhat time will our fearless BA-forum members and teams be racing? It was hard for me to tell from the schedule. The event goes from 2 to 8; highly unlikely I can get there for the full thing, but I’d like to see some people I know racing. Thanks!

ParticipantI think the Gran Prix is the more serious (solo) racer race, and the Open Challenge is the casual one with tasks to complete on each lap.
The Team Relay is the team relay.
Team Tummy Party will be racing in that one.

ParticipantThe Open Challenge has a mix of serious and casual cyclists.
Anyone know when the Goldsprints take place?
