ParticipantI have been looking forward to this event all year, Than I ran into the organizers at the hotel bar the night before Crystal City Challenge. Talking to them (mind you pretty cool guys in general) got me even more pumped for it. I ran home to tell the wife about it and low and behold she reminds me that her old roommates wedding is that day in Richmond VA. So I guess i try for next years race.

Or, you can kiss her kindly, wish her well, and send her to Richmond to enjoy the weekend. I’m just sayin’

If I were to hyphenate that, would I do so after special or after children’s?

Short laps. Most kids had pedals. Some photos at the top here: http://mudproductions.com/p407699098 Joel Gwadz was running it.
I bet if you want to put on your Kidical hat they would let you do something.

It’s the day before. How much recovery time do you need?
Besides it’s much easier to just drive down to Harrisonburg the morning of.

There were three heats. The first one was for the youngest kiddos and was maybe 10 laps on a roped/taped off area. I saw a mix of tricycles, balance bikes and training wheels in this one. The second heat was for the 5 and up crowd. The last heat was on the Diamond Derby track for the older kids. After the 2nd heat a bunch of kids kept riding around the roped off area. The surface down there can be slick, so be prepared to see kids go down.
My only issue was the bathroom situation which was a portajohn outside a few levels up.
Really looking forward to attending again!

Actually–the ads might just be for all of WMATA. Not sure Metro–so that opens it up to the sides and back of buses. And I know you know what a bus is…
