DC CaBi expansion plans 2014-2015

DDOT plans to add 10 more stations in the coming months. The linked post includes a map of potential station locations.

The post also mentions the new Alta/8D partnership for the first time, I believe. DDOT will test the new type of station at some point, to ensure that they work with the current system. If the new stations are compatible, DDOT could pick up the pace of station expansion by Spring 2015. They will announce a new round of expansion, perhaps 40 or more new stations next year.

Two new stations in downtown DC today and more docks at another downtown station. (I’m defining “downtown” broadly, to include areas to the east, north and west of the White House, near McPherson Square, Farragut Square and Pennsylvania Ave.)
