Cyclist Killed in Prince William County

Car jumped the curb and hit a cyclist on the adjacent path. Some of the comments say the car was extremely damaged, which means it was probably going fast.

That, and the fact that victim was dragged–this wasn’t a minor mistake. Another victim of the car culture; I can’t think of any good reason for a 16 year old to be speeding around in a mustang in the first place.

Very sad. A similar accident happened in Arlington a few years ago when a kid, also 16 as I recall, hopped a curb and killed a pedestrian.

Terrible news. The images are devastating and remind me yet again of my/our own vulnerability on the road. Prayers for the victim’s family and friends.
