I’ve flipped off every motorcade that has gotten in my way. Why hasn’t the Post written an article about me?

Yeah, motorcades are the worst. It’s not partisan.

There’s something about the photo in this article that I really love. I can’t quite tell if it’s the bike alone on a road with a bunch of cars, the somewhat casual way the cyclist is dressed, or the way her white shirt stands out against the black cars and dark scene while she’s flipping the bird. Whatever it is, the photo is just perfect.

Wait, it’s all a misunderstanding. She’s flipping off the black SUVs with MD War of 1812 tags: the obligation of every VA cyclist.

I describe such women as having huge “euphemisticals”.

I’m just glad the article mentioned that she was wearing a helmet. I mean, we wouldn’t take her seriously at all otherwise.

Pretty sure that was a take off on “not all heroes wear capes”

Though after Saturday, I can say that quite a few cyclists wear capes.

Should we expect the stretch of Pennsylvania Ave in front of the White House to see increasingly frequent closures to cyclists as a result?

Agree with Emm that this is a great photo! The slight underexposure, the tilt to the camera, the white shirt against a sea of black SUVs. It’s wonderful! :)

I did not visit it, but that comments section must be a sight.

Two or three weeks ago I gave the finger to three Marine One-ilk helicopters who were flying low and in formation towards the White House over TR Bridge. It felt glorious. There have also been a few times where I’ve been help up on Penna Ave and lots of us waiting flipped the bird.

The only reason I don’t give the WH the finger as I bike through there is that I’m too busy dodging people on the sidewalk or I’m too distracted by the cute secret service doggies.

Whenever we pass a house that still has Trump signs, or one of those huge Gillespie signs that says “For ALL Virginians,” I flip them the bird. I believe my GF thinks this is evidence of an unbalanced nature, but at least I’m not alone.

Yep, know the feeling well. Obama used to screw up Fort Belvoir’s golf course access and already over-taxed roads and I wished I had done the same. Just didn’t have the nerve.

It’s easy to flip off Trump’s hotel from the Penn. Ave. cycle track though.

If you are upright on a bike, you really can’t be unbalanced. Just say’n
