ParticipantI didn’t see anything when I came through there around 8:15 p.m. or so. When do you roll through? I hope the same.

I rolled through earlier in the afternoon and there was an ambulance, person on a back board and even federal agents poking around looking at things (though the feds might have been there for something else).
That would have been just before 5pm. I didn’t stop because there were a dozen cyclists and runners stopped to “help” and emergency vehicles/personnel on-hand.

ParticipantI noticed that there was a lot of sirens, heliocopters, police boats (including FBI), cops, etc all over the Potomac River area last night around 6:30 pm. There were still some remnants around 9:45 last night too. Something was up but I figured it was some sort of training exercise. Might explain why there were Feds at the accident cited above. Hope the biker is ok!

The Feds being there may have been completely unrelated to the bicycle accident. I encountered two rather heavily armed men with “Federal Agent’ on the back of their body armor seconds after passing the accident scene.

My guess is that the activity was related to security for the State of the Union.
