Due to construction as of Wed Dec 5 330 pm

    I shouldn’t be impressed, but I kind of am…

Thanks for spotting. I’ve forwarded this, but issues with the Custis Trail Improvement Construction (between N Scott Street and N Lynn Street) can also be sent to the VDOT construction manager, Tom Mulcahy.

They were there again today at ~7:00 am. Working on the overhead wires, it appeared. Kind of a surprise coming over the rise behind the sound wall.

There’s a “trail work ahead” sign, but of course, there’s always trail work ahead, and one just assumes they mean down at the bottom of the hill.

Mostly I’m worried people will find my Oak St. 22nd St. 21st Rd. 21st St.* detour and start clogging it all up. Saw one guy yesterday, which is like the first.

*Seriously. Whoever originally named Arlington’s streets needs exhumation and a kick up the backside.

rcannon100 contends that Arlington’s confusing street names were a Cold War tactic to delay or prevent a Soviet invading force from reaching the Pentagon.

And today, preventing anyone including friends, the pizza delivery guy, and often the mail carrier from finding your house.

I don’t think it’s for that project. They seem to be working on something at the apartment buildings when I went through this am.

No, it is to dissuade Marylander drivers from coming over to our side of the river.

I said “dissuade”, not prohibit. They still come over, but hopefully in smaller numbers.
