I used to use them as my wake-up call. I could nap during my ride to work until I hit them… that gave me a chance to wake up, have a little coffee and generally be ready to ride down the Two Sisters and S of Eternal Peril.

Well… it looks like the roots are being removed! I guess I’ll have to find another way to wake up.

More “Utility Work” was done last week. Three or four more roots gone!

I wonder why they are removing them only a couple at a time? Mobilizing a crew many times rather than once or at best twice. I do like that they are being clean about it.

If they fixed them all at once, it would be trail maintenance. By doing them individually or in 2s or 3s, they’re able to call them “Utility Work”. ;)

Totally joking on that part. I have no idea. I’m just pissed off because now I don’t have something to bounce the coffee mug out of its holder on the cargo bike on that hill.

Almost always lost a multi-tool set or some other object out of my rando bag on these bumps, felt pretty accomplished when I didn’t lose one item at this part of the trail last Friday.
