    Update:

    The asphalt overlay and repairs to the Custis Trail have been completed ahead of schedule. The trail has been re-opened. The contractor anticipates returning Friday 8/14 to stripe the new asphalt, but this should not require trail closure.

    Thank you for your patience during the construction. Additional repairs are coming soon. We will send out information as the schedule is known.

    The repaved parts are so smooth! My panniers were very happy to not be jostled. Thank you Arlington County.

    Now if they can do something about the water-retaining moguls by the bridge to nowhere….
