    Greetings inhabitants of planet Earth.

I noticed in the last few days that the Custis trail is getting marked up for some construction work. All the areas that are bad and need repaving have been marked with paint, saying where to start and stop the repaving process. Last year they did the section east of Lyon Village.

They marked up the area west of Lyon Village for repairs. Not sure when (or if) the paving will start.

    Hugs and kisses,

    Pete

The good news here is that any fresh asphalt that gets put down will harden really quickly in these temps…

Yarp. Some of the areas will be difficult to detour around. They’re usually pretty good about doing work in the middle of the day and not jamming up rush hour.

I’m gonna miss the pump track just west of the S of Certain Death though.

The idea is that the area between markers 12 and 14 (iirc) is going to get repaved. There’s something of an unexpected holdup on the backend, so no solid start date yet. You’ll hear about it as soon as there is one, though.

I hate it when I get somewhat of an unexpected holdup on my back end.

Sorry. I’m required by law to respond in an immature way.

They’re trying to get it right, see, instead of just ramming it through . . .

I’m glad of that. Best to think it through and do it right.

The back end appreciates that, too.

I should take a can of paint out and mark up a few more areas to be resurfaced :)
