ParticipantYeah I “start work” at 7:30.
Our group left the waterpark at about 7:50.
Sorry there wasn’t any continuity, but there’s a chance if more people start coming!
I stole Komorebi’s picture to post here:

ParticipantI am officially deeming the first Crystal City Coffee Club a success despite the lack of overlap between first and second shift. Weather was great. Company was even better.
I bought Cosi coffee and was able to ride one handed to the park. The Starbucks report was that there was a bit of a wait. I might bring a thermos next week instead.
Cosi does have an outdoor patio seating area. It’s not as nice as the park. I’m not sure if that would make the coffee logistics easier. I am considering making it the bad weather contingency at least.
See everyone at the park next Tuesday. Please spread the word to all your friends that ride by the area.

Since I can’t ride one-handed, you know what my vote is going to be.
On second thought, bike parking would be less of an issue in the park – only 2 racks by the Cosi. I’ll just skip the coffee.
Thanks for starting this in any case!

I might be there tomorrow, perhaps no though. I might not be riding. My knee is all ganked, and I have to haul a bunch of crap to work (my xbox I’m selling to some co-workers). It’ll be a game time decision! Don’t forget to tell Andrea about it too!
But thanks for posting the thread Judd.
Yeah, you weren’t there. And I brought your jersey along. Will continue to do that until I meet up with you, either on the MVT or at CCCC.

ParticipantI wasn’t able to attend due to an unforeseen medical issue (am fine now) but wouldn’t have shown up till about 8:00 anyhow. Congrats on the inaugural meetup and the fantastic weather. All of those colored chairs are pretty.

Tell you what. I’ll pick up a Box o’ Joe from Dunkin Donuts for next Tuesday. That should cover a few people who (ahem) haven’t been trained as a cycling circus performer. And yeah, big thanks to Judd.

You know, that abbreviation looks slightly Soviet-era Russian. NTTAWWT.

It’s all a trick. Once everyone starts regularly attending, I’ll reveal that CCCC is really the Comrade Cyclist Coffee Club.

Participantlotm – You mentioned not being able to go to Swings Alexandria location on Sundays. Guess what…

ParticipantDon’t forget to attend another exciting edition of the Crystal City Coffee Club tomorrow (Tuesday) morning in the Crystal City Water Park. The early crowd started showing up around 7 a.m. last week with a later crowd showing up around 8ish. Weather Underground is currently predicting a lovely 68 degrees with a 10% chance of rain. In the event that it does rain, the rain location is at Cosi at 2011 Crystal Dr Ste 100 just a couple blocks south of the water park. Bring a friend!

ParticipantI’ll be there, but with things hopping at work and just a 3-day work week for me, I won’t be able to stay until the late crowd arrives as I promised. Since I’ll just be breezing through, I’m pulling back my promise of bringing a Box o’ Joe as well. Next week for sure.

ParticipantNext week I will be there.
