    That’s so the stays clear the panniers when they’re on the rack! I got the bike, got the rack and fenders all set up, then put the bags on, and—doh! Had to come up with those crazy bends. They’re symmetrical, so they don’t look terrible…but it would look better if I had a bench vise to make the bends crisp. Whatever. It works.
