County Fair: Call For Volunteers

The Arlington County Fair is next month, running from August 10th through August 14th.

Like last year, BikeArlington will be part of Arlington County’s Commuter Services booth setup and we are looking for volunteers to help staff it! We’ll be answering questions about biking, giving out bike maps and safety information, and passing out fun giveaways. You’ll even get an official BikeArlington hat so you can be identified as part of the cool crowd.:cool:

We’ll need help with staffing Thursday through Sunday. If you are interested in helping out, even if it is only for a couple hours, please respond to this thread or send an email to info@bikearlington.com

Yes, we can certainly use more volunteers for Sunday and just a few more for Friday and Saturday.

Not sure how I missed this but I’d be interested in helping out if you’re still looking for help. I can do Friday and possibly either Saturday or Sunday.

Hi Tim,

Not sure if this is allowed or not at the fair, but perhaps we could put out a few petitions at the booth? Perhaps one to NPS to fix the GW Parkway crossings, to the County to fix various death zones around town, etc.

The fair is going on this weekend and the Bike Arlington booth has maps and stickers and other useful information so please stop by. There is even a Capital Bike Share bike you can actually touch. I realize this may be just too thrilling but come out anyway.
