    Contributory negligence is a big headache, but important for folks to learn more about. Even the vague use of terms such as “accident” and “collision” just following an incident can have an impact on civil suits down the road. And the WABA Memo is great, particularly in pointing out that law enforcement may not always act in your best interest even when they’re required to do so–many don’t know the law or rules. It would be great if they changed the contributory negligence statutes, even if just for cyclists interaction. This subject was part of the big controversy in Baltimroe a few months ago with the comedian’s cousin who was hit.
