Now you need to make all three on the same day.

That would make my Friday morning definitively not leisurely.

Particularly if you were required to chug a cup at every stop.

    Isn’t that what a “to-go” cup is for? ;)

Convenient. I’d certainly have “to-go” after the third.

So that means I leave home heading west at 6 am (and I still end up taking an hour of annual leave ;))? Since I’m riding the 50 States and the PPTC Back Roads Century on Saturday and Sunday, I propose putting off the full FMCC cycle until the 27th. Or everyone could spend the night in Herndon after the SMART Ride fund raiser at Jimmy’s Old Town Tavern. Jimmy’s closes at 2 am, what to do, what to do? ;)

Like I said, not a leisurely Friday morning. Plus there are those of us who do not get up and out at 6am. That just aint natural. Slow down, take time to smell the coffee :D

The caffeine made me do it, especially after that third espresso. ;)

Ok, if it’s not raining on Friday, October 18, I plan on riding for the FMCC cycle. I’ll leave the East Falls Church area at 6 am aiming to get to Green Lizard by 7 am and then follow the schedule originally set out by americancyclo (note the 8:25-8:35 should read FMCCII). Anyone interested in joining me for a morning half century?

I hope to be un-furloughed by then, but I’ll cheer you on from the FMCC III location.

Ok, the weather forecast is 60 – 70% chance of rain overnight from Thursday to Friday with temperatures in the 50s. Hopefully the rain will end just after midnight, so if nothing is falling at 5:30 am, I will head to the W&OD next to the EFC south parking lot to head west at 6 am. That should put me on track for rootchopper’s schedule:

Shot of espresso at each. 15mph average
    700-710 FMCCIII
    710-825 transit 19 miles
    825-835 FMCCIII
    835-850 transit 4 miles
    850-900 FMCC

After FMCC, I plan to head back via Shirlington and Best Buns.

^^That’s a helluva lot of coffee. You may not be able to stop in Shirlington due to the caffeine. Good luck on your quest!
