    There are some trees down and blocking the trail on Columbia Island, as soon as you cross the bridge from the Pentagon. The first two are close enough together that you can step from one to the other. (Maybe it’s one tree, but I did not look far enough left to check.) You can walk around the next one to the left, going off the trail, or climb over it. The rest of the grove, parking lot, etc. down to the MVT is fine.

    No change at 3:00 p.m. I didn’t see any NPS crews working anywhere on Columbia Island, so I don’t expect any change today. I’ll probably take my normal route tomorrow morning, so I won’t get a chance to check until I’m heading home.

    As of this afternoon, it’s clear and you can’t tell it was ever blocked.
