ParticipantI’ll hit seven different coffee vans as part of the “coffee shop without walls.”

ParticipantA very appropriate post for national coffee day.

ParticipantPlease note that no coffee shops in Alexandria Virginia will count as part of this challenge.

Did any of them ask for you insurance? or if you were ok?

There are no geographic limitations to the Coffeeneuring Challenge, except that your coffeeneuring must occur on planet Earth.
Alexandria, still in orbit, and with actual liquid water, according to NASA!

ParticipantRide your bike to 7 different local coffee shops from Saturday October 3 through Sunday, November 15. Any place that sells coffee– or “coffee,” as the case may be– qualifies as a coffee shop.
So no places that give away coffee? Houses of worship, auto dealers, conferences, apartment building lobbies, etc?

Ooh! Anyone want to start another fascinating discussion about tire pressure on the moon? I’m sure we can make this one go on even longer than the last one!

ParticipantIn some alternate universe I’ve already finished my 2015 coffeeneuring (on Earth of course).
I read through the rules and thought it was a little odd that in theory, you could just go for a 2mi ride with coffee in your thermos, and that counts as coffeeneuring??
Anyway, I will definitely be hitting up Kindred sometime for one of my entries. The problem is I’m trying not to repeat visits from previous coffeeneuring trips and I think I’ve hit up most of the other good coffee places near me already. Guess I’ll have to branch out more.

ParticipantWay too many rules. My eyes glazed over around #5.

Consider it a warm up for BAFS.

It’s part of the joke. Coffeeneuring = Bikes + Coffee + Rules

Totally worth it, since you can earn one of these priceless coffeeneuring patches (or whatever the amazing prize is this year).
And you can count the Midnight Saddles ride as your first one if you order some sort of beverage at the final stop.

ParticipantThe rules seem silly easy, and clearly the rewards are Coffee & Bike Rides. I’m in!
Today’s commute via Best Buns was a warm-up. Coffeeneuring officially starts this weekend. I’ll be on the Virginia Capital Trail riding a tandem with a captain who doesn’t drink coffee; just a little extra challenge.

But tea or chocolate at Aromas still counts. FYI: Mrs. CR will get in around 3 pm Saturday if there are no flight delays.

ParticipantAww man! The biggest bummer is the Saturday/Sunday rule. I don’t suppose belated summer vacation counts?
The only bike I’m going to see for the next week+ is the one I’m renting to tour Kyoto, which will fall on Wednesday.
