    Does anyone have a report on how dry/navigable the C&O Canal towpath is as of today 5/2? I just started commuting an 18 mile stretch of the towpath into DC. Took MacArthur this morning instead and am wondering if it makes sense to try the towpath on my ride home later today.

    The CCT Coalition says:

    CCT remains closed at G’town, but towpath reported only a little muddy and doable for road bikes.

    Thanks cvcalhoun. I ended up riding the C&O from Georgetown to Pennyfield Lock home from work Fri evening and it was fine. Just a few puddles here and there.
