Hahaha. I had to watch it twice to see what you were talking about.

My most embarrassing clipless fail happened about a month after I got mine on. I was riding on E. Abingdon in Alexandria, and I saw a biker on the sidewalk off his bike and he was red faced and distressed. Two women were with him (I considered that this might have been what was distressing him) and I rode on for like 50 ft. Then I turned around, rode back to him and I pulled up. I said “Are you all right?” and just as I said it, like on cue, I dropped like a rock on the pavement still clipped in.

Then everyone asked me if I was all right and two more bikers stopped to help me up.

It turns out the distressed rider swallowed a bee and got stung in the throat. The ladies then took him to Buzz for a cold drink.

If it’s any consolation, it’s the bee that had the crappier day in the end.

Reminds me of the dog my family had when I was a kid who made a habit of chasing bees around the yard trying to bite them/eat them. Despite being stung in the mouth a on more than a couple occasions, he never seemed to learn. That, or it just hurt so good.

My brothers would knock down wasps’ nests then try to hit the flying, angry wasps with sticks. (’cause, using a fly swatter or something similar would have been unsporting. sticks were considered a fair challenge). They were stung on more than a couple occasions as well.

I assume they eventually learned, since to my knowledge they (now in their 40s) no longer do this, but it may have taken longer than the average dog’s life span. And while they did not try to bite the wasps, that may have only been because they had the advantage of stick-wielding hands with opposable thumbs.

So, who’s dumber, dogs or little brothers? discuss. :)

I suspect the bike crash in this video has lead to the skyrocketing view count of this video.

It’s got about 10,000 more views than all her other videos…

I hope Elizabeth is taking advantage of the youtube monetization scheme.
