Two members of Team WABA, who I do not believe are on the forum, are having a Happy Hour fundraiser tonight with a lot of great raffle prizes. Come out if you can!

Can you post details of the happy hour for those who can’t get Facebook at work?

We’re riding our bikes from New York to D.C.
    to raise money for WABA!
You can help us by drinking!

Your hosts, Leigh Ann and Rebecca, are riding 300 miles over five days to raise funds for the Washington Area Bicyclist Association (WABA), which aims to make bicycling safer and more accessible in the District and the surrounding region.

We’ll have raffle prizes, fun, and merriment — all while helping to build up bike infrastructure!

Buy a $10 wristband and get Happy Hour specials until 10pm ($5 selection of beers, house red and white wine and rail liquors). Buy a wristband in advance (through Eventbrite, link above) and get a free raffle ticket! Each attendee gets a free Capital Bikeshare day pass!

Our growing list of raffle items includes:

Noms: Gifts cards to Whisked, GBD, Big Bear Cafe, Boundary Stone, the Tabard Inn, Sweetgreen, and Drafting Table; a 2 lb. bag of coffee from Sidamo; a care package from DC Brau; a one-week farmshare from Claggett Farm
Arts: Two season passes to Molotov Theater, tickets to an upcoming show at Studio Theater, and two tickets to any upcoming show at the 9:30 Club
Bikes: A care package of bicycle accessories from BicycleSpace, a certificate for a Confident City Cycling class presented by WABA, a vintage Climate Ride jersey, and a certificate for a free tune-up at Rollin’ Cycles

Also- wristbands are available at the door, but if you buy them at the door they do not include a raffle ticket.

Edited to add (from the organizers): Wristbands are available at the door. But if you buy in advance (site shuts down at NOON), you get a free raffle ticket. Raffle tickets will also be on sale (1 for $5; 6 for $20) there. So don’t forget to bring a little cash!

Thanks. Not sure I can make it, but I know I definitely can’t if I don’t know where it is.

After spending pretty much all summer as the top fund raising team, Team WABA is now in 2nd place to Team World Bank. All political commentary aside (really? Team World Bank??) if you have been considering donating but have been procrastinating, Team WABA could really use your help NOW! The top fundraising team is determined on 9/14. Please consider this your big pink bike shining in the sky!!

Team WABA, click here and pick someone to donate to: http://bike.climateride.org/index.cfm?fuseaction=donorDrive.team&teamID=5203

Giving this a bump. While a bunch of Team WABA are over the top (meaning they have satisfied the minimum $2400 fundraising), some are not.

If you have some available cash, please go to http://bike.climateride.org/index.cf…am&teamID=5203 and help push someone from Team WABA over the top.

Remember, WABA is the beneficiary for this effort so we will get the donation back in the form of better bicycle facilities and advocacy.

    Deadline is this weekend.

    Thanks
